Job Summary:
The Hematology Oncology Referral Specialist Coordinator is responsible for Hematology/Oncology providers internal and external referrals and orders. Duties include ensuring authorizations have been obtained and scheduling is completed in a timely manner to prevent treatment delays. Must be able to independently prioritize work load and separate STAT orders. This role requires the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, inbasket management, scanning and time management skills in a busy practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years of relevant health care or referral experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior working experience in a outpatient setting, obtaining referral authorizations and managing high volume of Epic referral WQ's, experience with Insurance agencies.
Work Days:
Monday-Friday 40 Hours a Week 8:00am-4:30pm
