HHA - Home Health Aide, PCA or CNA - part-time 2:30pm-7:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team in an Assisted Living Memory Care facility. This unique role offers the opportunity to provide personal care to our residents while also assisting in the kitchen to ensure their nutritional needs are met.

Position: NYS CERTIFIED Home Health Aide, PCA or CNA with Kitchen Responsibilities

Location: Whisper Woods of Smithtown at 71 Saint Johnland Rd., Smithtown NY 11787

Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Hours: 2:30pm-7:30pm daily

Pay rate:19.00 - 20.25/hr, commensurate with years of certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Companionship: Engage with residents in meaningful activities and conversation to support their emotional well-being.
• Kitchen Duties: Assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Nutritional Support: Ensure that residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences, with attention to special diets as required.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, kitchen staff, and other caregivers to provide holistic care to our residents.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) or PCA with NYS certification. NYS certification is a must.
• Experience in a memory care or assisted living setting is a plus.
• Basic serving and kitchen skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Requirements:

HHA Requirements:

• Valid NYS CERTIFIED CNA-HHA-PCA certificate required.
• Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
• Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
• Willingness to learn!
