High Reach Forklift Operator

Our client is seeking a High Reach Forklift Operator to support their fast-paced and growing company. Earn up to $17.50/hour!

These are temp-to-hire positions, converting to full-time employment after 520 hours of work!

About the Role:

• Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
• Available Shift Times: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver palletized products to designated areas using a forklift, in a timely and safe manner
• Locate or relocate products within the department as directed
• Load and unload trucks as required
• Build or re-stack pallet loads as needed
• Utilize the warehouse management system for product inventory management
• Inspect forklift and related equipment daily and complete logs
• Manage the forklift battery watering system
• Support forklift operators in other departments as assigned
• Communicate effectively with leads, supervisors, managers, and customers
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or product location

Key Requirements :

• Support a safe work environment by following safety rules and regulations and reporting hazards
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of work experience in a warehouse or production environment; or an equivalent combination of experience and training
• Ability to operate or learn to operate the following equipment:
  • Order picker
  • High Reach Forklift, Single Reach, and Double Reach Forklifts
  • Scan gun or gladiator
• Able to push a cart or hand truck up to 100 yards and use a pallet jack
• Ability to work at heights
• Working knowledge of computers and ability to read in English
• Able to follow standard operating and safety procedures
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; overtime may be required
• Willingness to assist with other warehouse operations as needed
• Ability to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
