Responsibilities
REPORTS TO : Director of Health Information Management
POSITION PURPOSE : To process discharged records in order to ensure the integrity of patient records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assemble discharged records. Analysis of discharged records Collection of statistical data on discharge records
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Must be able to make good judgments. Must be able to react calmly and efficiently in difficult situations and possess good people skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or GED.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: None
EXPERIENCE: Previous Health Information Management experience or other filing/clerical skills preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of patient files.
* Occasional bending, stooping and kneeling required.
* Must have hearing and vision sufficient to perform essential activities.
* Must be able to work under stressful situations.
* Emotional stability necessary to perform essential functions.
