Position Summary:
\n
Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers.
\n
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
\n
- \n
- Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle \n
- Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck \n
- Maneuver vehicle and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles \n
- Unload and deliver products to our customer utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environments \n
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnel \n
- Complete delivery and pick up paperwork \n
- Pick up returned product as required \n
- Collect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, etc. \n
- Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle \n
- Complete company training and certifications as required \n
- Effectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workers \n
- Other projects or duties as assigned \n
Qualifications
\n
Required Skills and Experience:
\n
- \n
- Must be at least 21 years of age \n
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) \n
- Must have at least 1 year Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent driving experience in the military \n
- Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with DOT requirements \n
- Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis \n
- Must be able to pass a post-offer background, DOT Physical and drug test \n
Preferred Skills and Experience:
\n
- \n
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) \n
- Customer service experience \n
- Experience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environment \n
- Stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experience \n
- Foodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience \n
