Job Summary

The position oversees the day-to-day referral intake and clinical scheduling operations.

The incumbent is responsible for the department's Human Resources and Payroll activities and acts as department liaison for Information Resources (IR) and computer contractors.

Experience and Education

High school diploma, or equivalent, and two (2) years' experience working with claims and collects is required. An undergraduate degree in a related field and/or healthcare, particularly filing of Medicare/Medicaid claims and supervisory experience is preferred.

Job Duties
  • Oversees a team of Home Health Office Coordinators and Home Health Scheduler.
  • Primary department contact, liaison for ancillary support services and third-party vendors.
  • Completes reporting to management as requested.
  • Completes electronic submission of OASIS documentation within agency defined time frames.
  • Ensures department policies and procedure are followed.
  • Develops and revises policies and procedures as needed.
  • Ensures efficient, accurate, and timely operation of the payroll function and compliance with payroll and timekeeping policies.
  • Maintains performance standards by counseling employees, performing appraisal, and providing required training.
  • Ensures department employee files are up-to-date, complete, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitors, controls, and orders office and medical supplies. Compiles, analyzes, report status and issues involving all aspects of assigned area.
  • Makes recommendations to management to reflect changes by reviewing various reports and other data, identifies conflicts and write resolutions.
  • Monitors correspondence received from various entities.
  • Audits mail returned for bad addresses and updates addresses as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Work requires knowledge of computers, office equipment and other administrative tasks.
  • Work requires skill to communicate both written and verbally.
  • Work requires ability to monitor and maintain supplies.
  • Work requires ability to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures of university, such as FLSA, salary guidelines, accounting regulations and internal controls policy.
  • Work requires ability to coordinate and work independently on projects.
  • Work requires ability to work with confidential information on a daily basis.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment.
