Job Description:
  • Purpose of Job:
Ensures the patient makes appropriate menu selections in accordance with physician ordered diet while performing activities related to the distribution and service of patient meals.

II. Essential Functions :

1. Assists and if necessary educates patient in completion of menu selections in accordance with physician ordered diet.

2. Delivers patient meals and collects trays when patient has completed their meal.
  • Accurately records intake for patient meals
  • Inventories, assembles & delivers patient floor stocks
  • Maintains a SERVE attitude to all customers
  • Recognizes the existence of cultural differences and utilizes appropriate resources available throughout the Hospital to respond to the needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient, family member and/or visitor
  • Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards in the performance of their duties with the integrity and to comply with all applicable laws in a manner that excludes considerations of personal advantage or gain.
  • Adheres to Doylestown Hospital's Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Complies with HIPPA privacy rules by only discussing, or seeking out information about the status of patients to whom care is being provided with others providing care to that same patient, and ensuring such discussion takes place in a confidential setting.
Job Qualifications:
  • Education:
High School or equivalent preferred

Able to read write and communicate fluently in the English language

Experience:

Food Service or other hospitality related experience preferred
