The Registered Nurse - House Supervisor manage the unit, prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered nurse - House Supervisor is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.

Key Responsibilities include:
- The Registered Nurse - House Supervisor provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. The Registered Nurse creates a safe environment for clients, provides direct supervision of clients, empowers clients, and teaches new tools for coping to clients .

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
- Two-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing.
- Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
- Prefer knowledge of effective teaching skills and educational strategies with a special education population, individual and group management skills, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development; limit setting and crisis and behavior management.
