The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applicants for a part-time Housekeeper/Groundskeeper for the Oxbow Center located in St. Paul, VA.

Housekeepers perform basic indoor and outdoor housekeeping duties including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash. They will provide neat and safe environments for residents, staff, students, and guests in assigned areas. They act in accordance with University and division standards and procedures. Work is assigned at the task level and is routinely monitored.

Job Description
  • Perform daily housekeeping services in assigned areas, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, and other assigned tasks.
  • Evening and weekend hours will be required depending on scheduled events at center.
  • Maintain clean and orderly housekeeping closets and equipment and keep inventories of supplies, requesting additional supplies as needed.
  • Report all repairs and pest control needs.
  • Report any housekeeping-related violations by residents, guests, or staff.
  • Weekly mowing and weeding of facility
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: None

Licensure: None

The use of both and a repetitive motion will be required while performing duties as a housekeeper, such as dusting and mopping, etc. This job requires a range of continual movement including: traveling, kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting.
