Minimum Qualifications

Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diplomoa or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
Experience in large hotels and/or conference centers
Bilingual-Spanish preferred

Position Summary

This individual assists the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper in creating and maintaining a customer-service-oriented housekeeping team. This position is charged with providing the Georgia Center and its guests with a clean, well-maintained facility. This employee supervises the work of public area attendants, laundry workers, house persons, and housekeepers in a 200-room hotel and conference facility. This position is a hands-on position and has a high level of responsibility in completing regular tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of typical cleaning methodologies for effective and efficient hotel and facility maintenance.
  • A general understanding of employee relations, policies, and procedures.
  • Problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: including Word, Excel, and Outlook email required


Physical Demands
  • Stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Sit and work at a computer.
  • Climb stairs; reach, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and work with hands.
  • See dust, hair, lint, and dirt.
  • Smell odors to identify the source to clean.
  • Work in small/tight spaces (between beds and walls in hotel rooms, storage closets, etc.).
  • Lift or move at least 30 pounds.
  • Push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 75 pounds.
