Description of Job Duties

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be to assist the Executive Housekeeper in the duties of the housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property, including staff training, inter-department communications, and staff scheduling. This position will promote an atmosphere that insures guest and colleague satisfaction, which requires strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members.

Core Functions

1. Adhere to Hyatt Hotels Corporation guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our colleagues and guests.

2. Ensures that all Housekeeping equipment are properly used, well maintained and stored properly.

3. Adheres and implements of the standards set forth by Forbes Industries.

4. Conducts regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas ensuring standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times to improve HySat core metrics

5. Maintain proper par levels of all guest rooms products and guest request items.

6. Conducts inventory of equipment, linen, and glassware.

7. Inspects all guest rooms using the 12-point Flash Inspection via HotSOS

8. Inspects, but not limited to, 25 vacant and 15 occupied guest rooms daily

9. Advises Executive Housekeeper on the conditions of guest rooms and hotel area to ensure appropriate and consistent maintenance.

10. Handles all complaints pertaining to Housekeeping service.

11. Oversee the housekeeping colleagues including direct oversight of the following; Room Attendants, House Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Turn Down Attendants, Inspectors, and Housekeeping Supervisor.

12. Manages Minibar team to ensure all policies and procedures are being met.

13. Conducts daily briefings and attends meetings.

14. Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.

15. Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.

16. Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.

• 1-2 years of hotel experience.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

• Experience with hotel operations software programs.

• Skillful in project planning/ tasks and able to prioritize projects/ tasks.

• Highly organized and efficient, pro-active and results driven, and ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility. Leads by example and with integrity.

• Excellent communicator and team motivator. Business-like, socially engaged, passionate, expressive demonstrating a positive attitude.

Mental and Physical Demands

• Frequent: Standing and walking during entire shift. Kneeling, squatting, and bending constantly. Pushing up to 50lbs. Pulling, lifting, carrying, or otherwise moving up to 20lbs. Frequent use of hand, wrist, and other manual dexterity in use throughout shift. Exposure to EAP approved cleaning chemicals, dust, and smells.

• Occasional: Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Interacting with guests (speaking, listening, writing).
