Job Description:
Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor oversees housekeeping operations of an assigned group of staff to include assignments, scheduling and personnel actions. On a daily basis this position also takes part in cleaning services provided in support of academic, residential, administrative, student support services and special events and functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in the use of cleaning equipment. Working knowledge of institutional housekeeping services. Ability to understand and follow instructions, to effectively communicate at varying levels within the organization, and to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to advise, counsel, demonstrate fairness, be decisive and maintain objectivity in personnel matters. Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others, and to maintain a professional working relationship with all contacts.
Preferred Qualifications:

Supervisory experiences in a housekeeping position. Experience within higher education. Experience in the use of various cleaning agents and powered equipment.
