We are seeking a dynamic and expert Lead HR Business Partner to join our team, responsible for Corporate and Global Functions, with a special focus on supporting the Employee and Labor Relations in the North America region! The ideal candidate will have a proven background in Union Labor Relations, Employee Relations, and team management. This role requires a strategic problem solver with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, consultative practices, and demonstrating of HR standard methodologies.
How You'll Make an Impact Strategic HR Leadership:
  • Partner with senior leadership to create and implement HR strategies that align with strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR policies, procedures, and standard methodologies.
  • Proactively drive the HR People Agenda
Union Labor Relations:
  • Lead and be responsible for union labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Ensure our teams create and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and ensure effective communication.
  • Lead the oversight of union contract cycles to ensure the business is prepared for CBA processes
  • Promote positive employee relations education with the business
Employee Relations:
  • Lead and handle employee relations initiatives, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead and oversee our investigation process and coach the team to ensure we are maintaining our policies and process.
  • Provide counsel to managers and employees consistent with Siemens Energy policies.
Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
HR Programs and Initiatives:
  • Create and implement HR programs focused on promoting a positive employee culture
  • Assess and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with the leadership team on talent development and performance management to improve employee contributions and address performance gaps.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Guarantee adherence with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks to the organization.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Advise with partnered organizations on strategies and communications designed to create a work environment that drives individual and team success and retention.
  • Partner with HR Performance Optimization team and Shared Service providers on raised questions regarding payroll, leave of absences, investigations, policies, etc.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • HRCI (PHR or SPHR) and/or SHRM certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR Business Partner roles, with a focus on Corporate and Global Functions.
  • 5-7years of experience in Union Labor Relations,Employee Relations and team management.
  • Solid knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR standard methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge in Union Labor Relations contract negotiations and positive employee relations promotion
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and social skills.
  • Validated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with collaborators at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, vibrant environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
