Job Summary

Assist in the development, implementation, administration and monitoring of the compensation and benefit programs. Responsible for assisting in areas such as policy administration and development, payroll procedures, legal compliance, benefit administration, and maintaining and updating employee HR records to ensure appropriate pay and benefit administration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with CAMC'S promotion/transfer policies and practices, including job offers, verification of licensure and other credentials. • Protect and maintain confidential data. • Advise and assist managers and administrative representatives in the application and interpretation of compensation and benefit programs, payroll policy and procedures. • Understand FMLA eligibility and usage of FMLA time. Answer questions and provide necessary documents concerning FMLA requests. • Approve, review and process all payroll and benefit changes for all employees. Work with managers to resolve exceptions. Requires comprehensive knowledge of compensation and benefit programs in addition to the payroll system. • Assist with required employee communications and mailings throughout the year • Actively participate in review, selection, and implementation of HRIS functions. Identify potentials for expanded utilization of the system to meet objectives. Assure integrity of all HRIS data. • Day-to-day administration of CAMC'S benefit plans. In accordance with plan document or insurance policy, determine eligibility, conduct enrollment, initiate claims, and provide necessary follow-up. • Be able to explain policy and procedures to employees, counsel them on benefit options and be able to explain how to enroll in the various programs and plans. • Assure compliance with Federal, State and applicable local regulations. • Plan, develop, implement, and monitor special projects/special problems as assigned. • Assist with the formulation and implementation of departmental goals and objectives in conjunction with CAMC'S strategic plan. • Conduct or assist in conducting training sessions to employees and/or managers in matters related to policies, benefits, compensation, employment and other appropriate departmental areas of responsibilities. • Serve on committees as directed. • Work independently on special projects and assignments as directed and representing the department in ongoing department accountabilities, research and development of policies and procedures pertaining to various laws and writing procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients. • Bachelor's Degree (Required) Experience: None Substitution: The following may be substituted for the bachelor's degree: Associates Degree with 2 years of experience or 7 years comparable experience or applicable certification with 2 years experience.
