The Staffing Programs HR Manager is responsible for managing the J-1 International Summer Work & Travel Program. In addition, this position partners across HR and business operations to ensure a positive experience throughout the employment lifecycle within other staffing programs, including but not limited to Hospitality Internship Program, Hersheypark Leadership Development Internship Program, Professional Internship Programs, and the Culinary Internship Program. Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
  • Manage relationships and act as liaison with J-1 International Summer Work & Travel Program Sponsor and supporting agencies.*
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information about all aspects of assigned programs, including arrival information, program information, calendars, and distribute this information to necessary departments in a timely manner. Analyze existing procedures to identify areas for improvement.*
  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners and logistics for all aspects of the staffing programs including travel, housing, and transportation for employees.*
  • Update Job Offers and supplemental paperwork for J-1 International Summer Work & Travel Program*
  • Partner with HR function areas to ensure effective and efficient onboarding communication to all candidates hired into a staffing program. Monitor and respond to emails in program email inboxes*
  • Prepare accurate and detailed rent payroll deduction data for occupants throughout all housing locations and audit invoices from housing partners*
  • Partner with the College Relations Recruiter to ensure alignment on the progress of staffing the associated programs*
  • Partner with Learning & Development to plan internal learning, development, and engagement events. Coordinate and schedule events and travel to various property locations to have an onsite presence. Understand the unique needs of each program.*
  • Act as a subject matter expert to educate new and experienced hiring leaders on the programs and processes*
  • Support other HR projects and programs as needed *
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Industry Experience - Human Resources
  • Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism
  • Must have a valid Drivers' License
  • Bachelor's degree
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google, and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred
  • Passion for HR and talent development with the ability to create and foster an inclusive environment
  • Proven success in managing multiple priorities with attention to detail with the ability to drive projects to completion
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with internal stakeholders and external parties when required
  • Collaborative team player but also able to work independently
  • Ability to think/reason analytically, maintain confidentiality, and work with the highest integrity
  • Understanding of J-1 Visa requirements
