We're looking for exceptional talent to join our team. The Site Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer will support the operations of Safran Aerospace Composites (SAC) and our on-site partner by implementing and championing the Health, Safety and Environmental Program. This position will ensure all SAC practices comply with the Company's requirements and meet all federal, state and local regulations. The position is responsible for creating and implementing the HSE regulatory programs and permitting requirements for the 345,000 square foot Rochester site. Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, this candidate will work closely with the site Facilities Engineer and Continuous Improvement Team to implement initiatives and solutions to further improve the health and safety of all team members.

Principal responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

*Effectively develop, implement, communicate and champion safety policies, guidelines and procedures of the Company, maintaining regulatory compliance in all areas.
*Monitor compliance to applicable regulations, codes, Company policies and procedures by inspecting operations, work areas, work practices and reviewing data and reports.
*Maintain policies and procedures related to HSE, including regular review of:
1. Internal audits
2. External audits of Safran facilities
3. HSE training materials to ensure information is current to regulatory requirements
*Review accidents and incidents that occur in the facility and provide root cause analysis and preventative solutions.
*Maintain Hazardous Waste Coordinator status, manage hazardous waste disposal and compliance.
*Develop and maintain all required documentation in an organized and structured manner.
*Assist with managing HSE and regulatory audits.

Candidate skills & requirements
The successful candidate will have a bachelo'rs degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline with minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must have knowledge of and experience in adherence with applicable laws, regulations, nationally recognized standards and guidelines related to specialized health, safety, and environmental functions. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) a must. Must have effective team-building, presentation, and preoject management skills with demonstrated abilities to effectively plan projects, as well as organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to make sound judgments and respond to emergency situations in a calm manner.
