Role Description:

Under the guidance of the Sr HR Director, the Human Resources Generalist will provide comprehensive Human Resource support to assigned business units in all areas of HR including employee relations, job descriptions, policy development and changes, affirmative action planning, organizational changes, talent acquisition and new program support.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations under the leadership of HR leadership.
  • Work with managers on organizational changes, including equity and promotion changes
  • Answer employee benefit questions
  • Identify and assist in implementing process improvements
  • Handle HRIS entries accurately and according to schedule
  • Address employee questions and concerns on all aspects of HR
  • Prepare employee separation notices and required documentation
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the HRIS System.
  • Participate in other cross-functional projects and initiatives, as needed.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development.
  • Excellent computer skills. Must include knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications, especially SharePoint site revision management and for publishing the HR Portal and maintaining revision history of HR policy documents.
  • Must be skilled in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS or HRMS). ADP Enterprise or Workday is preferred.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
