Position Summary

As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Assignments may involve work of a confidential nature and will require a working knowledge of the Company and department policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Duties included processing applications, scheduling interviews, administering pre-hire tests, completing new-hire paperwork, conducting orientations, processing compensation information, coordinating workers' completing termination paperwork, maintaining staff files, and disseminating HR related information to all employees.
  • Payroll processing includes maintaining time and attendance records, absentee and leave records, and payroll time clocks. Collect and assemble payroll information, verify total hours, tips, and commissions and prepare payroll reports for forwarding to Home Office, distribute paychecks, resolve pay issues as appropriate, and maintain records.
  • Completes HR administration and compliance, including but not limited to, company policy consistency and best practice application, leave administration, and annual reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Manages employee relations by responding to employee inquiries timely, assists supervisors with delivering employee feedback and partners with club management for escalated employee matters.
  • Coordinates aspects of performance program management by partnering with club managers to facilitate introductory and annual review cycles; partners with management to address individual employee development needs and assists with an annual compensation review.
  • Maintains currency of HR and industry trends, data and best practices.
  • Serves as a daily champion and advocate of demonstrating the company's core values and positively contributing to the company's organizational culture.
  • Assignments may involve work of a confidential nature and require a working knowledge of Company and department policies, practices and procedures.


Skills/Qualifications/Certifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in human resources or related discipline preferred.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience working in a Human Resource role preferably as an HR Manager.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and active listening) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with UKG preferred or willingness to gain sound proficiency.
  • Experience with payroll processing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of human resources management and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; Detail oriented, organizational and time management ability.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
