Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Bilingual: Fluent in both Spanish and English

Location: Sandston , VA 2 3150

Shift: Monday - Friday 8 :00am - 5:0 0pm

Salary : $65,000

Job Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist :

HR Consulting
  • Provide coaching for Plant leadership, on onboarding, performance, and career development.
  • Provide HR leadership to special projects & corporate initiatives.
  • Provide business requirements and input to cascade people strategy.
  • Lead manager onboarding (for executives) in partnership with the leader
  • Develop and manage the organization talent strategy which includes Talent Acquisition, D&I strategy, Workforce Planning, Organizational effectiveness, Talent Management, KPIs, Retention and Recognition Planning & Culture.
  • Following the climate survey on engagement and enablement work with leaders to diagnose and develop a plan for implementation.
  • Facilitate strategic people moves (global assignments, etc.)

  • Monitor and manage employee's time, time off and any related company incentives.

Talent Management & Learning
  • Identify learning and development needs for Leaders and participate in planning process and implementation (should include partnering with leaders on corporate initiatives i.e. Culture Of Coaching or Culture Of Accountability)
  • Facilitate performance calibration process.
  • Supporting end-to-end performance management process for blue collar workers
  • Develop workforce plans (long term and short term) in partnership global workforce planning team, Team Leader, and regional/function leadership.
  • Analyze and interpret data to build Talent Strategy.



Organizational & Team Effectiveness
  • Lead or contract for organizational design, lead execution of job and people elements of the design and measure results
  • Lead or contract for leader & team effectiveness interventions, ensure execution and measure results (includes team assimilation)
  • Provide change management advice and support initiatives (program implementation & change initiatives)



Employee Mediator
  • Participate in employee relations and employee engagement strategies.
  • Progressive Discipline escalation and management.
  • Develop/approve & publish local policy and guidelines.



Operations Manager
  • Ensure legal policies and procedures (including region-specific compliance requirements) are followed and maintained.


Safety
  • The HR Manager plays a vital role in improving and maintaining workplace safety by implementing safety policies, fostering a culture of safety, and conducting thorough background checks.
  • Responsible for all safety training documentation and systematic approach.



Talent Acquisition
  • Managing Plant recruiting process (scheduling events, coordinating, and processing classes and tours



Reporting Analytics
  • Compliance reporting (e.g., EEO)
  • Talent Management Reporting & Forecasting



Emergency Response

Take the lead on HR issues as part of business crisis management.

Communication & Community Relations
  • Organizational communication execution
  • Consult with local and regional leaders on event planning where applicable.
  • Consult with leaders on community relations, volunteer, local sponsorships where applicable.



Education and Experience of the Human Resources Generalist :

  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (usually a minimum of 5-7 years required) to include Employee Engagement, Change Management, Organizational Design, state and federal labor laws and current economic and labor relations developments in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience as an HR Team Leader/Manager that has strong understanding of manufacturing functional areas and their interactions, and a working knowledge of continuous improvement /Lean manufacturing.
  • In depth labor law knowledge and best practices.
  • Previous leadership experience coaching leaders and building leadership teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgement and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
