HR Generalist Intern Duties & Responsibilities:

Intern will be leading several initiatives aimed to drive recruitment, employee engagement, development, and retention. Lexicon is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Generalist Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in the field of human resources. The HR Generalist Intern will assist the HR team in various tasks related to recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and HR administration. This role will provide exposure to all aspects of HR, allowing the intern to develop valuable skills and knowledge in a professional setting. These activities include:
  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding activities, including preparing offer letters, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
  • Help with organizing and coordinating training and development programs for employees.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks such as drafting HR policies and procedures, preparing HR reports, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR team members on special projects and initiatives as needed.

HR Generalist Intern Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in Bachelors in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management or related field is preferred.
  • Prior internships in HR as helpful, as is any assignment where student has been responsible for recruiting, retention and engagement of personnel.
