Acts as a program consultant for several projects within the policy division; review, research, evaluate, and process applications regarding eligibility and/or funding for services and programs for The Department of Children and Youth; work with impacted stakeholders for a particular category of services/issues by developing, coordinating and implementing human services programs that provide direct or indirect services to identified stakeholders; under administrative direction, responds to DCY policy division operational, programmatic issues and needs, including but not limited to children services, kinship and adoption, title IV-E, early care and education licensing, Multi-Ethnic Placement Act, maternal and infant vitality, and the continuum of DCY programming; obtains and assesses information from various sources to determine appropriate services and programs; attends meetings, workgroups, and training; maintains accurate, organized records of applications and projects including outcome measure; collaborate with stakeholders to support ongoing projects and initiatives; ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and timelines in applications and projects.

Prepares and/or oversees the preparation of important and/or confidential documents, correspondence, directives, and publications as they relate to DCY programs; monitors progress of time-sensitive and special reports; maintains confidential files; reviews and analyzes programmatic data from DCY policy division and reports information to internal teams.

Communicates with applicants, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather information, resolve issues, and provide updates; drafts reports, summaries, and other written communication as needed.

Provides secretarial and non-routine administrative support (i.e., independently formulates decisions and/or judgments involving non-legal interpretation of policies and procedures as they would apply to a given situation to resolve problems, to prepare correspondence and/or reports, or to carry out other assignments).

Participates in meetings and provides updates on progress related to applications and projects; prepares progress and activity reports focused on data, as specified by supervisor, and necessary federal and state funded project reports. Compiles and disseminates statistical data and other resource data.

Performs other related duties as assigned (e.g., attends and participates in meetings; travels to attend meetings and trainings; participates in agency charitable and wellness activities; maintains logs, records, and files).

Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science, health or pre-medicine or comparable field; 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.

-Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related or comparable field; 6 mos. exp. in delivery of human services, health care services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider.
