JOB TITLE: HVAC Technician

DEPARTMENT: Facility Maintenance

REPORTS TO: Facilities Operations Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of new and existing HVAC/Refrigeration devices in a manufacturing facility.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum four (4) years 'experience with one (1) year in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of inspection tools such as Caliper and/or Micrometers necessary.
• HVAC license type II, III required, Universal EPA Certificate preferred.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Fork Lift Certificate preferred.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

• Inspect existing systems and recognize needed repairs or replacement of needed parts.
• Maintain existing HVAC systems and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Make material lists for supplies for installation of new HVAC units.
• Respond to emergency maintenance request.
• Install new (or used) systems or relocate a system.
• Maintain HVAC preventative maintenance supply inventory.
• Be able to braze and solder proficiently.
• Support other systems as needed.
