Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Inspects buildings, fixtures, machines and other structural and/or mechanical units, noting needfor repair, performs minor and preventative maintenance
2.Performs complex maintenance work including detection and correction of HVAC systems
3.Assists other technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance
4.Working on active systems, energized and de-energized equipment in compliance with NFP andBoard of Regents (BOR) safety standards
5.Troubleshoots and repairs EPA refrigerant class I, II and class III equipment
6.Complies with EPA refrigerant protocol
7.Maintains a clean and safe work environment
8.Accurately maintains equipment inventory and historical records

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license
EPA certification in class l, ll and lll type equipment or ability to obtain EPA universal refrigerant certification within six (6) months of hire date

Required Experience
Two (2) or more years of related experience

Additional Preferred Qualifications
ICC HVAC Inspectors Certification (Active)
ICC HVAC Plans Examiner Certification (Active)
HVAC Warm Air License Unrestricted State of Georgia (Active)
Commercial HVAC experience preferred

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $22.62 to $27.40 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE
Advanced knowledge of mechanical and HVAC machinery
Working knowledge of building automation systems
Knowledge of appropriate safety standards including occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions in the use of tools and equipment Knowledge of Ashrae standards

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, and project management
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

ABILITIES
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawing charts and technical instructions
Ability to understand and comply with building, electrical, fire, and plumbing codes and other technical standards and specifications as required
Ability to safely handle, dispose, and document chemicals
Ability to build upon existing knowledge in technical application of maintenance work
Able to assist in the assigning and supervising of others
Able to handle with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
