Our client is looking for a systems engineer that will partner with leadership on day-to-day operations, including VM deployment, OS access tickets, OS/VM troubleshooting, ESXi configuration, SOX auditing, and performance troubleshooting. They will be need to know how to troubleshoot for both Windows and Linux operating system issues. Working within an agile framework, updating tickets in Jira/SNOW, collaboration with cross-functional business leaders and partners, to provide "best in class" support for the client's local stations and global enterprise customers. The team they will be joining does the following:

o Develop & maintain engagements with Infrastructure Engineering, MSP resources, facility support, vendors, and Application teams to provide end-to-end delivery and support of appropriate infrastructure solutions.

o Provide level 1/2 operational support for ticket completion, incident management and problem management resolution, on-call activities

o Demonstrate a dedication to building and maintaining a stable, high-performance technical environment

Required Skills & Experience

o Experience for mgmt/build/troubleshooting of virtualization/OS technologies, specifically VMware & Windows & Linux

o Experience with OS/HW level monitoring and performance management

o Working knowledge on networking protocols, routing, network topology

o Manage and implement automated operational tasks to improve reliability and standards

o Some scripting experience. Ex: Python, Ansible, Shell, PowerShell, GIT, Tower, and CI/CD methodologies

o Familiar with agile methodologies working in JIRA based sprint structures

o Must work be able to work Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs

o Ability to go on site in LA or Colorado - Saturday through Wednesday or Wednesday to Sunday (weekend shift will be remote)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

o Familiar with Block/File/Object storage technologies

o Familiar with backup technologies, recovery scenarios, high availability designs and solutions

o Familiar with ServiceNow or other ITSM related toolsets
