Job Title: Hybrid-VMWare Administrator

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: Contract to hire

Working Hours (Flexible): M-F, 8-5, once a month irregularity

This position requires employees to work non-traditional/late hours during maintenance, upgrades and support.

Travel: Tentative - once a year to visit Disaster Recovery Site, Las Vegas - 2 days approx.

Candidate Technical and skills profile:

• Sr. Systems Admin Sr. supports client GT Systems area by provisioning the installation/configuration, as well as perform operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
• Additionally, ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational goals.
• This position requires employees to work non-traditional/late hours during maintenance, upgrades and support.

Responsible for many administrative duties, up to and including the following:

• Installation of new and rebuilding of existing servers, configuration of hardware, peripherals, services, systems settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Carrying out systems planning through by installing, configuring and testing of PC\server hardware and software.
• Maintaining system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating problems to vendor.
• Establishing and test disaster recovery policies and procedures and maintain support documentation.
• Supporting users by providing application support.
• Upgrading system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis in accordance to Vulnerability Management Assessment. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• Responsible for keeping current and correct inventory of Software and Hardware for production and test environments for client GT IT Assets Management process.
• Performing analysis of user's needs and recommends appropriate systems solutions.
• Communication with different vendors for equipment purchases, contracts, support and deployments.
• Works closely with management and project management to maintain Audit Requirements and documentation up-to-date.

Must have technical skills, tools, or experience:

Required:

VMWare + Virtualization - 6 years minimum

SAN administration - 6 years minimum

Windows Server - 6 years minimum

Systems Administrator - 6 years minimum

Microsoft Exchange - 6 years minimum

Active Directory Management - 6 years minimum

Spanish + English - bilingual required

Is there any skills you are willing to flex on if a candidate does not have it?

Nice to have - Bluecoat, HP Nimble SAN storage, Zerto, Dell compellent, Exchange, Fiber Switch Configuration, Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent or Certifications

Interview process:

1hr with manager and 2-5 key stakeholders of IT team.
