Airswift is looking for an I/E Quality Assurance Specialist to work with a major Oil and Gas company in Martinez, CA on a 9 month contract position

Day to Day
  • Monitor the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards or applicable codes.
  • Develop and Monitor Inspection & Test Plans. Coordinate appropriate inspection point Quality Assurance Team.
  • Identify potential nonconforming items and help establish solutions to keep them from being nonconforming.
  • Interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Implement established procedures for inspection activities.
  • Monitor self-performs installation of material and equipment for quality compliance.
  • Oversee all Quality Control processes, procedures, testing, and inspections for self-perform work.
  • Coordinate and schedule resources to provide appropriate inspection and testing for all construction efforts on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Oversee investigations and resolutions of quality related issues.
  • Coordinate third party / Quality Assurance inspections as required.
  • Inspects and documents acceptance of construction activities and installations.
  • Ensure all field activities are being executed per project specifications, procedures, and current design documents.
Must Haves
  • 2-3 Construction experience
  • 2-3 years Inspection/QA experience
  • Instrumentation or Electrical QC background, preferably both
  • Conduits, duct banks, cable trade, terminations, low to high voltage
  • Inspections, documentation, and reporting, ensuring construction is following standards
  • Industry background: oil and gas, petrochemical, heavy industrial
  • Monitoring self-performs' scope of work - assuring that what they are completing are following specs/requirements
  • Strong documentation, reports, IT&P experience
  • Previous practical experience on $500M+ projects, preferably with experience on both "owner" and "contractor" side
  • Industry background: oil and gas, petrochemical, heavy industrial
  • Prior experience performing quality audits
  • Broad knowledge of the quality principles and their application to engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, and commissioning
  • Knowledge of the application of corrective actions to reconcile nonconforming conditions
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements which impact the quality program
  • Adaptable to change, go getter, strong culture fit
