Temp and Casual Assistant

Duties:
  • Assist Administrative Director with calendar scheduling, managing incoming meeting requests
  • Provide Account preparation support for IEM staff
    • Vendor supplier setups
    • PCARD reconciliation support
    • UMarket orders
    • Purchase Orders
    • Chrome River Reconciliation
    • Check Requests
    • Internal Sales / External Sales Invoicing
  • Manage John Bischof travel arrangements and reimbursements
    • Scan and organize receipts for expense reimbursement
  • Manage signatures for Director and Administrative Director
  • Clinical Immersion Summer Projects:
    • Design and launch Clinical Immersion App for participants
    • Clinical Immersion Data Analysis
  • LSAMP Accounting Support as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Mature judgment and demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills; adaptability to meet changing demands.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and address a wide variety of issues and problems in a high-intensity environment.
  • BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Clinical Immersion Program

Located on the East Bank of the Mississippi River, the Institute for Engineering in Medicine (IEM) at the University of Minnesota is an interdisciplinary research organization committed to improving and streamlining healthcare by strengthening collaboration between the disciplines of engineering and medicine.

Our mission is to advance healthcare through research partnerships between engineering and medicine involving academia and industry. The Institute for Engineering in Medicine is a catalyst for facilitating multidisciplinary collaborations in research and education between the faculty in the health sciences, faculty in the College of Science and Engineering, and the biomedical industry.
