Position Summary

The Imaging Informatics Assistant is responsible for assisting the Radiologists and clinical staff in the day-to-day operations relating to the acquisition, storage, routing, and retrieval of clinical images and results. Maintains knowledge of software applications, downtime procedures, image routing, storage, and retrieval as well as facilitating communication to providers, clinical staff and other customers. Monitors PACS, EHR, and PowerShare work lists and assists Radiologists and clinical staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED) or higher degree required.
  • One year of relevant customer service or health care experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; advanced problem-solving skills
  • Professional phone skills and experience
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to function efficiently and professionally with minimum supervision
  • Ability to sit 8-12 hours per day
  • Ability to read and correctly pronounce medical terminology
  • Must have good computer skills to understand, navigate, and enter data on multiple IT systems and Radiology-centric systems
  • Must be able to multitask and handle acute situations during stressful and busy periods; task completion with accuracy is critical

    • Will rotate holidays and fill in as needed
