Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting
At least three years of indirect tax experience with a public accounting firm or with a large, multi-state company.
CPA or CMI candidate a plus.

Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will also possess:

Experience with indirect tax compliance, particularly in preparing sales & use and personal property tax return filings.
Considerable experience using an automated Indirect Tax Solution (OneSource, Vertex, etc).
Experience managing large volumes of various state exemption certificates.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working knowledge of RIA Checkpoint tax research tool.
Must be comfortable with GL accounting. The ability to prepare journal entries/support and to reconcile tax accounts.
Demonstrate the willingness to learn and implement process improvements in work assignments and tasks.
Must be well organized with strong work ethic and excellent analytical and communication skills.
The ability to work well in a team atmosphere.
The nature of many indirect tax responsibilities requires a deadline conscientious mindset, so this person should be able to manage fluctuations in workload according to the tax due date calendar.
