Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Industrial Engineer 1's for a contract opportunity in Portland, OR.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our Industrial Engineering contractors will focus on documenting time standards and processes to focus on production stability. This includes observing build processes and recommending process improvements through lean methodologies. Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and should be a self-starter as well as a collaborative team player.

We are looking to place candidates on daily tasks associated with validating current hours per order/job performance, as well as creating new time standards to be used to implement new scheduling software. Follow on actions will include analyzing value added versus non-value-added processes, recommending process improvements, and elevating safety and quality hazards and risks for root-cause investigation.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
- Exposure and/or experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or production environment.
- Experience performing work observations and time studies.
- Must be able to crouch down, semi-mobile, walk, and climb stairs while performing duties throughout the day.
- Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Skilled in effective time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- 1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
- Experience developing and deploying standard processes.

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
