Why does the job exist?

The Industrial Truck & Tractor Operator - Advanced will:
  • Load, unload and deliver United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) donated foods for the National School Lunch Program Distribution Agency (Health Care Authority-HCA).


How does it get done?

The Industrial Truck & Tractor Operator - Advanced is responsible for:
  • Operating industrial equipment to safely deliver food across New Mexico for the Food and Nutrition Services Bureau (FANS).


Who are the customers?

  • New Mexico Schools;
  • Food banks participating in USDA Donated Food Programs.


Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will:
  • Possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License;
  • Achieve Department of Transportation (DOT) driving standards;
  • Obtain an Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) background check;
  • Have experience as a fork lift operator.


Minimum Qualification

High School diploma or Equivalent and one (1) year of relevant warehouse experience to include operating forklifts and/or class A/B vehicles. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below. Must be licensed in accordance with New Mexico Chapter 60, Article 15, Hoisting Operator Safety 15. Hoisting Operators Safety, 60-15-1 through 60-15-15. A commercial driver's license is required for this position.

No substitutions. Must possess required licensure, certification or registration and required number of years of experience

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely lift 60 lbs. Work performed in freezers and coolers with freezers kept at -5 degrees F. Overnight travel required on a regular basis
