POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for a wide range of Information Technology (IT) and Information Assurance (IA) tasks associated with automation resource planning and implementation systems as part of the WSMR suite of Transportable Telemetry Systems (TTS). Oversees preventive and corrective IT/IA maintenance on all TTS assets including ship-based systems located in Portland, Oregon and ensures assets are fully compliant with all applicable regulations before and after mission support. Manages, schedules, and performs security scans and patches to assure compliance with all Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and WSMR IA requirements. Designs and maintains String Zero Lab for 24-hour communications with MDA IC Department (C-NET). Implements new or updated MDA requirements across all assets. Maintains all documentation and shares data with MDA using C-NET or SIPRNET. Provides weekly and monthly updates to TTS Lead.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

BS degree in engineering, computer or physical sciences. Demonstrated experience with the application of IT systems and procedures for testing, including determination of hardware/software requirements, development of input/output data processes/techniques, and implementation of data verification/validation procedures. This position requires Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT II) certification at the time of hire. IAT Level II requires at least two certifications: Security+ and an approved Computing Environment certification. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain appointment as a System Administrator under AR 25-2 and DoD 8570.01-M or successor regulations. Must have a valid driver's license. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Desired Qualifications:
SECURITY+ certification. Experience in the analysis, planning and implementation of new test support requirements. Experience with the design, development, and implementation of hardware/software to support complex test operations. Experience with managing networking equipment hardware/software including Cisco IOS, Cisco Network Switches, Cisco Firewalls.
