Job Summary

This role provides support to Clements University Hospital. Deploy equipment (PC, printers, UPSs, mobile carts, peripherals, etc.) according to equipment lifecycle schedules. Help to deploy replacement machines and perform cable management. Receive inventory from loading dock, unbox, assemble, store, and organize the inventory within our designated storage locations. Ensure equipment gets asset tags before distribution to computer tech or the user. Perform inventory scans of assets on the floor and stockroom, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain an accurate inventory database. Perform equipment checks to ensure equipment is operational and properly deployed (in good repair, cable managed, clean). Input new equipment into the inventory database system with accuracy. Follow all organization policies to decommission equipment. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, customer focused, has good communication skills, and is comfortable working in a hospital environment. Additionally, this position requires the ability to properly lift 40 pounds on a regular basis and is not work from home or hybrid. It is 100% on site. Position does not offer H1-B sponsorship.

Experience and Education

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state driver's license and possession/maintenance of acceptable UT System driver rating.
  • one (1) year inventory/asset or related experience, preferably involving computer equipment and peripherals.
Job Duties
  • Deploy equipment (PC, printers, carts, peripherals, mounts etc.) according to equipment lifecycle schedule.
  • This includes cable management.
  • Receive, unbox, assemble, label, equipment prior to distribution to customer or stockroom.
  • Perform physical inventory of assets on the floor or stockroom and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Perform equipment checks to ensure equipment is operational and properly deployed (in good repair, cable managed, clean).
  • Attempt remediation and escalate as needed to technical teams.
  • Enter new equipment into inventory system of record, update records when equipment is moved, run reports within asset tracking system as needed.
  • Decommission equipment, which includes removing from floor, palletizing, updating asset tracking info, working with surplus warehouse to remove equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Work requires ability to follow established procedures of moderate complexity in performance of tasks. Work involves devoting time to routine contact with personnel of other departments in providing information or concerning delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies. Work involves frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds. Work requires telephone and personal contact with faculty and staff of university, clients, physicians, and outside organizations. Work requires ability to perform duties quietly and efficiently in all areas of campus, including hospital and clinical areas. Work may require protective gear/garments when working in clinical areas. Work requires use of calculators, personal computer, and other standard office equipment.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in office and clinical areas.
