Hybrid Telework Opportunity

Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) supports the department Information Security Office (ISO). The Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) must comply with federal and state security regulations including SAM Information Security Sections and compliance with NIST Security requirements.

The ITS I will be committed to adopting the best practices of information security industry as promulgated by the private, state and federal entities in order to secure confidential and sensitive information, to counteract hacker attacks, and to protect against malware infection throughout the organization. The mission is to ensure a secure computing environment that will provide availability, confidentiality, and integrity of information. The ITS I works within the ISO unit which is comprised of security analysts and technologists to support the performance of a wide array of security related tasks.

Working Conditions

HCAI offers a hybrid telework schedule with a combination of remote and in-office work schedules for CA residents only. The telework policy is subject to change, and additional in-office days may be required and/or minimal notification may be given to report to the worksite if an urgent need arises. Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• 1 year experience working with security solutions Cloud Security Management (including Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS), Data Protection, Identity and Access Management, Application Security, Zero Trust Architecture.
• 1 year experience working with Web Applications and development life cycles
• 1 year of experience in technical security risk management (e.g., penetration testing, third-party assessments, threat modeling, purple teaming, cloud assessments, network/firewall assessments, risk mitigation, audit response, business continuity planning, etc.)
• 1 year experience communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 1 year experience in security incident investigations, auditing, data analysis, or related field.
• 1 year experience writing code using .NET Programming Languages, Java, or Java Script.
