STUDENT ASSISTANT - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DIVISION / HQ
This position requires current enrollment in college courses in the Information Security Engineering domain or a closely related field.
The reporting location for this position is at the Alquist Building,1516 9th St., Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the close supervision of the Privacy Officer.
The Student Assistant in the Information Security and Privacy Office (ISPO) assists with information security and privacy compliance efforts for the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR). The Student Assistant possesses an understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, information security concepts, principles, privacy regulations, and standards. The incumbent works closely with the Privacy Officer, ISPO Team, IT Services Division staff, and staff in field offices and various divisions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of DPR's data. Duties include supporting data classification implementation, awareness training reporting, and various remediation efforts to ensure DPR achieves compliance milestones.
This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
State housing is not available.
