Position Overview:

Then Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in preparing the information systems for DCSA review. The ISSO will review Certification and Accreditation documentation, standard operating procedures, policies, and security instructions for stand-alone computer systems and provides oversight and guidance for multiple systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Information System Security Manager and System Owner in daily RMF duties.
  • Auditing and Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) of the IS.
  • Administer the user identification and authentication mechanisms of the Information System (IS).
  • Review/complete RMF packages to include System Categorizations, Security Plan, and Authorization Packages.
  • Ensure day-to-day implementation, oversight, and maintenance of the security configuration and practices.
  • Conduct requires IS vulnerability scans.
  • Develop Plan of Action and Milestones in response to vulnerabilities.
  • Perform Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) checks/validation.
  • Coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the ISSM and AO/DAO prior to the change.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Minimum IAT II/IAM I Certification (Sec+)
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO.
