Our client, a large financial instituation, is seeking an Financial Analyst to join their team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Operations & Technology supporting the Back Office Technologies team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial analysis, project management and vendor management which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Information Systems Financial Analyst

Location: Laurel, MD

Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000

What's the Job?

• Perform financial analysis to maximize the IT investment, asset management, vendor management and project support for the Vice President of Information & Technology Services, and ITS Managers.
• Provides timely and effective departmental project support to advance the short and long-term strategic goals of the Information Technology Services (ITS) department and TFCU.
• Provide analysis and reporting to the SVP of Information Services and support management within Information Services such as Deposit Operations, Information Security and PMO (Project Management Office).
• Prepares, tracks and reports on the status of the IT budget keeping records of all expenses spent through the current year. Using the budgeting system, this position drives the creation of the budget for the department, based on previous years' expenses and anticipated expenses and has total access to all budgets within the department
• Works directly with ITS vendors and service providers on billing, contract terms, and service agreements

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related field with 2-3 years relevant work experience applying accounting and budgeting principles, including successful relevant financial analysis experience supporting a major operational unit or division.
• Prior experience as an individual contributor in a technical discipline (analyst, developer, system administrator, network engineer, etc.)
• Experience managing a departmental budget - including forecasting and tracking
• Experience partnering with vendors, systems integrators, and other 3rd parties to deliver services
• Experience/familiarity with the Information Technology hardware, software, principles, and practices preferred
