The Program Management Division serves as an interface between Public Safety Communications (PSC) and the public safety agencies it supports for communications services. The Program Management Division oversees service intake, project management, and the organizational processes that facilitate PSC's service delivery. Under direction of the Telecommunications Systems Manager II, the Information Technology Specialist I (IT Specialist I) performs a variety of project related work and client services as part of the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services' (Cal OES), Public Safety Communications' Program Management Division. Additionally, the IT Specialist I works as a Subject Matter Expert and is responsible for providing project management and client services to PSC and the public safety agencies it serves. The incumbent is a skilled technical consultant in providing project management oversight to critical, public safety communications technology projects. The IT Specialist I independently plans, implements, and monitors complex public safety projects to support PSC's service delivery.

Working Conditions
Telework - This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule which includes up to two days of remote work per week. Additional in office days may be required based on the business need.
