TELEWORK IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE, HOWEVER, STAFF MAY BE REQUIRED TO REPORT TO THEIR ASSIGNED HEADQUARTERS AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.
Under the direction of the Deputy Director of the Technical Operations Branch, the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) serves as Information Technology Specialist on a wide range of complex application development projects. The incumbent serves as technical interface for projects involving ETP Salesforce Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, the framework for ETP systems. The ITS I provides information technology consultation in support of ETP programs, researches business requirements, obtains system specifications, documents business processes and workflows; participates on system design, analysis, testing and implementation, and maintains communication among project stakeholders. As needed, the incumbent works with external systems integrators in the planning, execution and deployment of new Salesforce applications; monitors integration of information systems and/or subsystems. The incumbent also provides support for the Technology and Website Management Unit of the Technical Operations Branch, acting as IT Administrator for SharePoint and ETP Website, in addition to working closely with the Research Analytics Division.
Participation in telework is subject to the Department's policies and supervisor's approval.

The job is located in Sacramento. This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under ETP's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

- IT Spec I possesses skills and knowledge in SalesForce Sofware-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, including experience with system design, analysis, testing, and implementation of Salesforce applications.
- Experience in SharePoint administration and website management and technologies, with a web development languages and frameworks preferred.
- Strong backsground in application development frameworks and technologies, with a focus on analyzing business requirements, obtaining system specifications, and documenting business processes and workflows.
- Knowledge and experience working closely with Research Analytic divisions or similar units, demonstrating an ability to collaborate on data-driven projects.
- Experience with external systems integrators in the planning, execution, and deployment of new Salesforce applications; monitoring the integration of information systems and/or subsystems.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of management and staff, maintaining communication among project stakeholders.
- Skills to independently troubleshoot, provide support services, and act as IT Administrator for SharePoint and ETP Website.
- A passion for process improvement, problem-solving, and providing excellent IT consultation in support of program objectives.
