What You'll do as an Infrastructure Specialist Pilot in Middleware

This role will serve as a point person for evaluating and recommending hardware and software to address the needs of the different department within taxation.

The primary technology for this position is IBM AIX or Red Hat Linux . The secondary technologies are Integration Middleware like IBM WebSphere.

Knowledge of products such as FileNet, Cognos, Datastage are preferred, but not necessary. Familiarity with the monitoring tools such as Big Brother and Splunk are preferred but not necessary. Taxation will provide training on various tools and products. Some other duties of this position include:
    • Maintain models for monitoring and tracking application deployment
    • Support the application devlopment team in designing new applications
    • Install and upgrade department middleware products
    • Evaluate risks in IT processes

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
