This position will be responsible for:

• Clinically evaluating how the health record translates into coded data, including review of provider and other clinician documentation, lab results, diagnostic information and treatment plans
• Communicating with providers either through discussion or in writing (e.g. formal queries) regarding missing, unclear or conflicting health record documentation and clarifying the information as warranted

Required:

• Associate degree with experience (Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Information is preferred)
• RN or RHIA/RHIT

Desired

• 5+ years of acute care or inpatient coding/CDI experience
