An exciting opportunity for an Inpatient Pharmacy/Medication Reconciliation Technician is now available in our Inpatient Pharmacy. As a member of our dedicated Inpatient Pharmacy team, you will be responsible for assisting Pharmacists in preparing and distributing medication, including intravenous preparations, maintaining inventory and patient records. Additionally you will perform medication history assessments with patients and their families for the purpose of compiling an accurate and complete list of medications the patient was taking before admission to the hospital.

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of two Years pharmacy technician experience required
Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred
Current State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician licensure required
or
Temporary Michigan Pharmacy Technician license applied for at hire with permanent state licensure required within 1 year of hire. PTCB exam date must be determined within 6 months of hire.
Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required
Position Details:
0.8 FTE (part-time, 32 hours per week)
Day shift
Rotating weekends and holidays coverage
