Inside Sales Trainee

Job Responsibilities:

As an inside sales trainee will be responsible for developing new and existing accounts by providing exceptional customer service while maximizing sales and profit goals.

• Successfully meet sales goals.
• Project a "Can-Do" attitude and consistently provide exceptional customer service.
• Take incoming calls, interpret customer requirements, and negotiate pricing, service, and delivery.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Communicate with account and product managers about account strategy, pricing, and acquisition of new accounts.
• Expedite orders and respond to customer inquiries.
• Review sales and profit reports.
• Remain current with product knowledge, pricing, services and market/industry trends.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent. A college degree is strongly preferred.
• One year customer service/sales experience directly related to the duties of the position, preferably in the metals service industry or manufacturing.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to speak clearly and concisely.
• Capable of building and developing strong business relationships.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to negotiate, persuade, and make sound business decisions.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
