Job Description:

Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies. Inspects and may perform minor rework on defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.

Essential Functions:

Ability to read and understand description of manufacture (DM, DOM) for operation assembly instruction. Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/ or special tools Operate various types of assembly equipment (assembly machines, press stakes, air screw drivers, etc.) with proper training. Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during, and after assembled. Check completed assemblies for conformance with quality standards and DMs. Maintain assembly/ quality records paperwork as required.

Qualifications:
  • Requires minimal job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance if required

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with various types of precision measurement tools (micrometers, go/no-go gauges, etc.) and blueprint reading required.
  • Inspection experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing assembly environment.
