Job Duties

Provides operational and administrative support to the institution. Coordinates, directs, and manages audit compliance processes. Serves as an Administrative Duty Officer managing all institutional operations on a rotational basis. Writes, manages and oversees policy and procedure development for all functions throughout the institution. Supervises staff and manages the inmate appeal processes, inmate grievance procedure processes, and Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). Prepares recommendations and management reports for review by various internal and external users.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive working knowledge of corrections and correctional practices. Extensive working knowledge of VADOC policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to complete reports and/or write policies and/or procedures. High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Considerations

Prefer supervisory experience.
