This candidate is responsible for creating and developing training around power products for a large power solutions client. Working as a prime on several new client contracts, the instructional designer will be responsible for traveling to client sites to work with plant managers and create/ develop online content training for 600 different programs. The candidate will travel from July through September to plant sites to complete creation of videos, then do onsite training in the Pittsburgh area facilities getting heavily involved in development.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop interactive eLearning modules and courses tailored for the power products industry.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Apply instructional design theories and practices to create compelling course content that enhances knowledge acquisition and skills development.
• Utilize multimedia and technology tools, including Adobe Suite, to create visually appealing and effective learning materials.
• Conduct needs analysis to identify training requirements and target areas for improvement within the power products sector.
• Create assessment instruments to measure learner progress and the effectiveness of instructional materials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the power products industry to ensure content is current and relevant.

Required Skills & Experience
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, educational technology, graphic design, curriculum development, communication or related field
• Ability to use adobe captivate to create interactive courses, simulations and quizzes through authoring
• 3+ years of experience as an instructional designer, E-learning specialist or related doing video editing, creation, scripting, etc.
• Experience using LMS system for course delivery such as CYPHER Learning, Talent LMS, Absorb LMS, Ispring, Docebo or related
• experience using Camtasia (formerly Camtasia Studio and Camtasia for Mac) or related e-learning software suite(eLearning authoring tool for video content that can be used in your corporate-branded LMS portal. You can upload your Camtasia videos directly into your LMS Portal as MP4 files, or you can share them out to YouTube or Vimeo and call them into your online courses from those platforms.)
experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to create content
