Our client is looking for an Instructional Designer to support their team on a remote basis. The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing and facilitating both instructor-led training (ILT) and online learning content training deliverables for employees.

Instructional Designer Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and deliver on-site and remote training for new hires and existing employees across all locations
  • Research, develop, schedule and deliver training for new initiatives, system projects, as well as new or revised processes, policies, procedures and regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize program design and associated training deliverables that meet identified training needs
  • Manage development projects from inception to completion
  • Design and develop training deliverables using a variety of courseware and media development tools as per internal instructional design processes
  • Create training deliverables in multiple formats including print, graphics, audio, video and animation technologies
  • Coordinate with external media and design vendors to ensure quality, consistency and timely delivery of instructional media elements
  • Review courseware for instructional effectiveness and usability, incorporating feedback from end users and subject matter experts to enhance courseware
  • Stay current with industry technology tools and trends in online education and instructional media
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Instructional Designer Requirements:
  • Strong instructional design and training needs analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and stakeholders
  • Strong multitasking abilities with the flexibility to adjust priorities quickly
  • Proficient problem-solving and research skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Comprehensive understanding of Adult Learning theory
  • Familiarity with blended learning approaches catering to different learner generations
  • General knowledge of gamification principles in course design
  • Comfortable facilitating in a Classroom Webinar environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, technical writing and corporate training
  • Thorough understanding and application of the ADDIE model approach
  • Experience with instructional authoring tools such as Adobe eLearning Suite, Captivate, Articulate and others
  • Experience in publishing online courses compatible with SCORM for Learning Management Systems (LMS)
