QUALIFICATIONS :

Valid Alabama Elementary or Secondary Teacher's Certificate

Master's Degree preferred

Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in public schools

Meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama Statutes and State Board of Education regulations.

Valid Alabama Driver's License.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coach teachers in elementary/secondary classrooms each day to improve professional practice.

Equip and empower content teachers through job-embedded professional learning opportunities that result in high quality and content-specific instruction.

Support administrator in identifying specific instructional practice related to learning targets in the classroom.

Facilitate data analysis with content area teachers and assist in utilizing data to differentiate instruction.

Facilitate school-wide professional development and monitor/measure the impact of transfer to practice.

Collaborate with administrators and content teachers to facilitate lesson studies, lead professional learning communities, and identify targeted professional learning needs.

Establishes and maintains effective, professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.

Abides by the Alabama Educator Code of Ethics.

Coaches or sponsors athletics/extra-curricular activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Length of Contract/Terms: 187 Days

Compensation: As per Board salary schedule for this position
