Job Duties

This position reports to Curriculum Coordinator and is responsible to work and collaborate with school operations staff specifically teachers and administrators for updating, aligning, and interpreting curriculum changes, and ensuring instruction is aligned with student needs which also includes developing, updating, aligning, and implementing curricular guides. Work one-on-one with teachers and school personnel to provide coaching to teachers select and implement the appropriate and effective strategies in instruction with a focus on math to meet the learning needs of all students. Team up with teachers and administrators for improving educational outcomes according to the agency's overall goals. To provide classroom support through coaching, data collection, modeling lessons, observing, and offering feedback. Assist teachers and administrators in analyzing data and identifying necessary academic support; help establish protocols and procedures to analyze student work periodically and identify specific areas in need of improvement. Also responsible for teachers' professional development based on facility and agency needs to ensure instructional improvement and student success.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree and a valid current Teaching License with an endorsement in Mathematics. Must have some prior teaching experience in basic adult education, Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, Knowledge of state curriculum and assessments, Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs, Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners/teachers, Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Extensive knowledge of mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, and other core subject areas; experience with adult learning theories and practices, needs assessment, instructional methodologies, and resource materials appropriate to adult learners. Keen knowledge and experience with data management, analysis and interpretation, and evidence-based decisions, ability to use computers and expertise in MS Office applications for generation of timely and accurate reports, spreadsheets, and multimedia presentations; demonstrated skill in oral and written communications, ability to work with diverse audience including classroom teachers and administrators; prior experience with various digital learning platforms. Must be able to travel extensively as part of job requirement.

Additional Considerations

Prior teaching experience in adult basic education within the correctional setting is preferred. Postgraduate Professional License is preferred. of Prior experience in an alternative or correctional setting is preferred. Proven trac-record of experience of working with adults and improving academic performance in mathematics, Algebra, and Geometry. Master's degree in mathematics will be preferred
