Instructor position is open in a new the kidney lab at the Nephrology Division at UTSW. Experience in cell biology and the roles of actin and microtubules cytoskeletal networks in organizing cell shape and behaviour is needed. Additionally, experience in kidney development, in vivo mouse models for glomerular diseases and acute kidney injury is preferred.

Job duties and responsibilities includes but not limited to: (1) Teaching lab members how to perform super-resolution imaging of the kidney (i.e., PALM, STORM, Exansion microscopy). (2) Instructing lab members and establishing the biological roles of the actin and microstubule networks (including the centrosomes and cilia) in the kidneys cells. (3) Educating lab members on studying the early stages of kidney development. (4) Guiding lab members in establishing acute kidney injury mouse models such as unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) and ischemia reperfusion (IRI).

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
